Mermaid Inn

Updated: Jan 29, 2021

Now this place that I’m gonna tell you about is by far one of my all time favorite restaurants! Mermaid Inn is a very casual yet hip restaurant to eat at. You have a hostess who seats you and if you're lucky enough to go during the evening dining you can eat by candle light!! The section you want to sit in is in one of the booths just a heads up!

Now on my first visit I had the lobster roll with fries it was amazing! It’s fresh seared lobster meat in a brioche like roll and with Cajun seasoned fries!! I also had lavender lemonade which I am assuming is a summer special since the second time I went it was not featured on the menu.

The second time I went was for my birthday! We were seated to the rear of the restaurant and unknowingly we had made it in time for happy hour! Now as amazing as happy hours can be it’s even better at the mermaid inn! They have signatures cocktails and wines at 7 dollars! They have tacos, crab cakes, even mini clam chowders all ranging from 3-8 dollars each!! Not bad since normally everything starts at $10 & up!

When we were seated we were surprised we had made it for happy hour so instantly we were drawn to see the menu for it! We ordered one of their signature cocktails for the UpperWest side location. The Poseidon’s Punch was fruity with the right amount of kick it to it!
