With the New Year already started and Spring soon approaching, this marks the time for new resolutions! I am always intrigued to hear about everyone’s new routine or goal they have for themselves. It marks a new beginning and a fresh slate to be able to reach a goal or incorporate something new into our lives. Personally, I love the New Year as a time to make new possibilities and a time to be better and start a new journey. To begin working on yourself and achieving whatever goal it is you had in mind for yourself. Now, in my experience there are four top resolutions that I know many people personally and around the world look forward to embark on once the New Year comes! For me, I have been trying to keep on a workout routine. Trying to go to sleep early and commit to working out three times a week, eventually increasing frequency. I find as long as you start, it means a beginning. Also it is not just enough to workout but to eat healthy and cut calories. Have a healthy relationship when it comes to food! To live an overall healthier and active life! To not only look and feel better, but live better! The second resolution is to save money. Most people put that dream of buying their own home or moving out or buying their first car at the top of the list. There are a couple of tips that have helped me save over the years. If you really want to begin your path to saving, it’s start with making a clear goal of what it is your saving for. Set a realistic goal of an amount your saving up to get what you want. Know what your trying to get and be happy with what your working towards. Once you have a clear vision, begin by knowing the price. Then set up a clear budget of how to get to the amount. For example, taking out a certain amount from each paycheck. If I can add more, I do. I find writing a schedule is a great way to keep track and accountable. As long as you keep up with this schedule you will soon be on your way to achieving your goal! Another thing many want is a new career. When trying to start a new field or job, the first thing to do is find the right job and field. Find what jobs are available in the field and read information and descriptions of the different jobs. Find the one that fits you best and your skills and makes you happy. Then begin assessing your background, experience and skills you need to perform this job. Once you have narrowed it down to the job you want, you can work on your resume and cover letter. To begin applying to jobs! A great site to use is Indeed.com! Lastly, the major goal many look to work on is self care. Being in touch with one’s self. Taking care of ourselves and making our health and mental health is a priority often we forget to prioritize. The great thing about our evolving society is how important it has become! I myself, have even learned to take better care of myself. Help me to relax and keep my peace of mind and live better and learn to do things more mindfully! One of the ways is through meditation, which I try to start my day off with peace and meditation allows me to focus and be clear of my intentions. It truly helps me to have a better day! Just taking the time to do more self care can impact your life in such a positive way. Start by making a routine to do your meditation anytime of the day. I love to use the headspace app! Making a day for face masks, journaling are all great ways to unwind and give yourself some care,
Whatever new resolution you choose to focus on is your choice. Your commitment and progress will make it come true and through this self fulfillment can make you happier!
