Tips for starting a gym routine!

When the pandemic started, it was like foreign territory. Many of us had never gone through a pandemic and were not prepared for this. However, it definitely allowed many of us including me to devote time to do certain aspects of our life, we felt we had no time for. One of the biggest things is definitely our physical health! I started with my early morning walks and then I started by doing bike rides! To take in the scenery and enjoy!

Once the gym reopened I knew I was ready to start my brand new gym journey! I do have to thank my older sister for helping me sign up at a special price for the gym! Now, beforehand about a year ago I was consistently going to the gym. It would sometimes be two time a day four times a week. Then I had some big life events that interrupted my gym schedule and then Covid came! Upon them reopening I knew that I was going to come back better than ever!

My gym schedule is now mostly to go in the morning, but if I am not able to I can go in the afternoon. My top tips for starting a gym routine and a successful gym journey, would be these recommendations.

-Keep to a consisten schedule.

My gym routine is usually going in the morning, three times a week. However, if I am not able to go in the morning I still make sure to go at whatever time to get my workout done. Try to stick to a consistent amount of days.


-Know your goal.

It is truly important to know going into start your gym routine to know what you want to accomplish. Whether it be to lose ten pounds or build muscle. It is better when you have clear goals so we know what specific workouts, equipment you need to complete your overall goal.


-Do your research.

Make sure to look up great workouts to target your specific areas you want to work on. Watch videos and look up circuits you can do at the gym, learn how to use the machines and what works best for your body. Also look up great meals to eat well.

-Make a great playlist.

Lastly, a big part of your gym routine that can help motivate you is a great music playlist. When you have great songs to pump you up and keep you going during your workouts that can truly help!

Here are just some of my personal tips that helped me have a great gym routine and help me to keep going and see the results. Not to mention working out helps relieve stress and also helps boost endorphins, which make you happier. It is very healthy and beneficial for you!
